Ham Shout Out

K4WDR (Bill) - 11/18/2019 - 06:14

I will eventually get back into Amateur Radio, but not on the scale I once was. And, it will be from my boat. I will be mounting a HF rig in my 36’ Trawler when I am ready and able to Full Time her. Hopefully I can post a few articles or other useful info at that time I have no plans to remove this website.

Hi K4WDR ...have just a quick question.. for the sdr-sharper would you know of any plugins that i can use for sharper sdr software.. i know full well how to install them but as sad as it be from the RTL-SDR/plugins - website those sdrsharp plugins won't work in sdrsharper.

Sorry you left the hobby....I am just getting started and it is a great adventure this Ham Hobby! de K6BNE you are a QRZ featured member right now Sept 4, 2018!

This site is no longer maintained as I have now left the hobby. I will leave the majority of the content up since I occasionally receive emails from other hams that have found some of the info useful.

Bad Winds, Huge Amounts Of Static, And Only One Beverage. These Will Be My Downfall On My Pursuit Of At Least 100,000 Points. Do Not See It Happening This Year. :(

Slow Start - Late Getting Started on the ARRL RTTY Roundup ... I don't expect any fantastic showings on this one. :S

Bill - K4WDR - 01/04/2017 - 23:41

1st day with a Reversible Beverage On The Ground (RBOG) receive antenna for 160m and worked Romania and Germany. Hell of an antenna for it to only be a little less than 200 feet.

Bill - K4WDR - 01/03/2017 - 03:02

Damn! Some serious DX'rs wouldn't you say? Hahahaha.I was thinking today Eric, we ought to apply for a license for an A.M. Radio Station -- but then I remembered, I really don't have much to talk about. lol

Eric - 01/03/2017 - 00:13

we need some kind of chat program to share ideas on while we are on the air. I guess I could always run a net logger session. That would be the way to go.
